Hi Bill, I have just come across your website and was impressed wit your study and work on Thessalonica. I wonder of you are still working on it, since there has been little comment in the past 3 or 4 years.
Your insigts would be very interesting in light of recent discussion regarding 1Thes 4:13 - ! Thes 5.4 and the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70
Pls let me know if you would be able to respond to a few questions I have.

As far as that passage, I've not seen recent discussion, but I'm guessing it's about dating the epistle to post 70 AD? I wouldn't likely be persuaded about that. At any rate, eschatology is a bit past the bounds of this site.
However, it may come as no shock that, as a historian, I lean strongly towards some type of preterist view on such passages - not that I've studied the various preterisms in much depth. Yet, again, I do believe the NT was entirely composed prior to 70 AD.
